A well-prepared, well-lubricated genius.
I’m a Scottish female, fresh out of adolescence and ready to hurl my youthful optimism futilely at the world in a vain attempt to maintain my naivety (or at least the illusion of it). I am, of course, not a genius (far from it), nor am I in fact well-lubricated. My interests are limited to metal, medicine (1st year student), left-wing politics, slashy fanfiction (the shame!) and Bovril. I don’t believe in God, and I’m pro-choice. I am also nursing a shameful tea addiction.
Generally, anything written here is likely to be an unhealthy, grammatically-inept and intellectually-stunted mix of extreme idealism and cynicism. Posts range from self-pitying, absurdly introspective griping to inarticulate, pretentious-sounding attempts at worldliness – I’m unhappy with the way both of these portray me, and I’ve categorised them accordingly – avoid ’self-pitying rants’ and ‘pretentious/contrived’. This will be your only disclaimer.
Furthermore, any opinions expressed here are the brainchildren of my personal experience alone, and are not based on anything concrete or research-related. I will, of course, welcome being enlightened as to any issues to which I am ignorant (it’s not a small amount) that would help me form an alternative view, but please keep in mind that the views expressed here are not meant to withstand any argument in the real world. They’re just there so I can look back when I’m older and be reminded that I was, at least to a certain extent, a thoughtful person.
